My Thoughts
Alright to be honest I barely remember what this one was about so in my own summary the series is about climbing up a tower to find the “magical” rod that rants all your wishes. Yay!…yeah… Well if your thinking “Sorta like a video game?” Yes, because ,well, the series is based on a video game (go figure) The show feels like a game and like an anime at the same time, which is nice and well done. But as for the plot I can say it works out in a way that is positive. Now if you’re asking “What the hell does that mean?” I’ll tell you…nothing actually. The plot does what it’s supposed to do, keep you interested until the end. In other words forgettable (so I was telling the truth ^^;) As for the characters, they can get pretty interesting but there are only two (or maybe just one-Neeba) who have any real “depth” to them. Also, the relationships engage viewers, too. The action scenes are notable and animation is cheap at times (I mean white blob monsters? SRSLY?!) There is comic relief at times. All in all, while you’re watching this you’ll actually like it, but in hindsight it losses all the glitter and sparkle. And Ultimately, Forgettable.
The Good
No doubt you will find yourself liking this and think I’m 110% wrong.
The Bad
Down the road you’ll find that I’m 200% right. Booyah!
Additional
There is a season two.

I didn’t really like this anime, and actually I still don’t plan on watching the second season anytime soon… Druaga no Tou had everything I like in anime: action scenes, some comedy, fantasy elements – and yet it never grabbed my attention. I definitely agree with you that it’s a forgettable series.
You didn’t watch the second season? I feel like I have to finish what I started with these kinds of things. lol ^_^. And I agree the show itself had lots of good elements but after a few days it’s just…”meh”.
